Privacy Policy

Effective October 5, 2026

1. Who we are

Statement (the “Service”) is the sovereign commerce and identity platform operated by JOVE Inc.(“JOVE,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Statement application at statemnt.cc and the APIs and integrations it provides.

2. Information we collect

  • Account & identity data — your name, email, role, organization, and the sovereign identifier (xNID) assigned to your record.
  • Business records you create or manage — organizations, contacts, opportunities, invoices, and related commerce data.
  • Connected-service data — when you authorize an integration (for example QuickBooks Online), we exchange the data needed to synchronize invoices, payments, customers, and items between Statement and that service.
  • Usage & device data — log data such as actions taken, timestamps, IP address, and browser type, used for security, auditing, and reliability.

3. How we use information

To provide and operate the Service; to synchronize records with accounting and payment systems you connect; to authenticate users and enforce access controls; to maintain audit trails; to secure the platform and prevent abuse; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-party integrations

You may connect third-party services to Statement, including Intuit QuickBooks Online, Stripe, and Xero. These connections are made at your direction and are governed by the respective provider’s own terms and privacy policy. We access and store only the credentials (OAuth tokens) and data fields required to perform the synchronization you request, and only for as long as the connection remains active. You can disconnect an integration at any time, which revokes Statement’s ongoing access.

5. AI features and your data

Statement includes AI-assisted features — including an in-product assistant (“Ask Ray”) and agentic workflows — that help you search, summarize, and act on your records. These features operate on the platform’s own data (your Statement registry) to perform the tasks you request. Data obtained from connected third-party services, including Intuit QuickBooks Online, is used only to perform the synchronization you authorize — it is not used to train AI models and is not fed into the generative-AI features. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

6. How we share information

We share information only with: service providers acting on our behalf (such as hosting and the integrations you connect); parties you explicitly direct us to share with; and authorities where required by law. We never sell personal data.

7. Data retention

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, maintain required financial and audit records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion as described below.

8. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, scoped and revocable access credentials, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.

9. Your choices & rights

You may access or correct your account information, disconnect any integration, and request export or deletion of your data, subject to records we must retain by law. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
